Where Did Summer Go???

Umm, where did the summer go??? It's already September -- craziness. Speaking of craziness, in addition to my torturous screamfests I now have a new sound that is a cross between a bobcat and Rosemary's baby. I also like to scrunch up my face and show my teeth when I get really excited (I have 4 teeth on top now!) I am a crawling machine and like to cruise as well, but I'm taking my time with walking because whenever someone touches my hands I get mad.... and when I get mad I BITE!
Cookies of course!!
My mommy is back in school so I probably won't be able to write a lot anymore, but I will try. Daddy has signed up with the NYPD and takes his test next month. I am very for happy for daddy... I take a bite out of a cookie and he's going to take a bite out of crime (hehe, it's a pun and I'm not even 1!)...

Speaking of being 1 -- I'm almost about to be an entire year old, boy has time flown by. My mommy and daddy are throwing me a teddy-bear picnic party at the park close to where we live. I can't wait for grandma Mickey's cupcakes! mmmm... cupcakes...

Bouncy Balls make me cry...

It's been a while and I apologize for not writing sooner, but please remember I am only 9 1/2 months old. I've been keeping mommy busy crawling and climbing all over stuff, it's sweet being mobile. Mum just bought some cards with fun pictures to touch, I really like to to taste them. The kitty cat is my fav because it's furry like my kitty Mojo. I like to yank on Mojo's paws and rub my face in his neck. Mom and pop can't believe he lets me do that -- they have been busy looking at some bigger places to live and hope to find a place soon so I can roam. I'd like to cross my fingers for them but all I can really do is flap my hand and wave so I'm doing that with my left hand and typing this with my right ; ]
I had a busy day today and got to hang out with my pals Baila, Isabella, Raghav and Bess. We all went to the park and chatted. While we didn't have tea and biscuits I did have some lovely graham crackers and apple juice. Then we got sleepy and needed naps, but I don't like to take naps so I didn't. hehehe...

Last month when I went to the the Y, the babysitter said that I was hysterically laughing whenever she bounced this ball... so mom got a bouncy ball thinking that we could play a game. What kind of game was this??? I did not like this shiny monstrosity that she bounced my way. Bouncy balls make me cry. And that's how fast I can change my mind...

Bouncy balls make me cry,

esta verdad -- it's not a lie,

take it away! don't even try!

I wish that I could tell you why.

Om's the Word

Today I got to go on a picnic with my pals Isabella and Baila... I got to see Bess eat an avocado before I passed out and then I rode past Anabelle on the way home. Mommy gave me some oatmeal and bananas for lunch because I'm her little monkey. I love it when she swings me upside down like a monkey while I watch Classical Baby on the telly. Speaking of swinging, I got to swing at the playground when pop came home and then I drooled all over the seat because I got so excited.

Mum got some great news that her good friend Shannon from Columbia, SC is having a baby girl. Very exciting stuff. I can't wait to show her how to put everything in her mouth... why does everything have to taste so darn good??! I digress...

Anyway, I got to go to Mommy and Baby Yoga at the Y yesterday and I had a blast. Mum was doing some wierd stuff with her arms, then everyone sang a funny song while mum would lift me up with the other babies. I got to meet some cool babies and Anabelle sat next to me. I think we're going to go lots more now so I can learn downward facing dog too! OM......................

Shake what my mommy gave me...

by which I mean my maraca of course... I actually took it from my buddy Daphne (shhh) when our baby group went to Prospect Park together and had a little picnic on april 20th. I had a great time showing the other babies how I could sit up (I only tumbled a couple of times). Everyone was really good on their tummies too!

I went to the playground yesterday and my parents actually pushed me on a swing. I was giggling like a mad scientist. I showed mum and pop how I could swing with the best of em and they told me I'm an old lady now. 7 months gone in a flash... not that I really remember much anyway. I do know that I don't need to be swaddled anymore and my parents are very proud of me. Now I snuggle with my taggie blanket, but it scares mum because I like to pull it over my face to fall alseep. She's always waking me up by moving my blankie... ARG MOMMY! I've gotten into pulling mum and pop's hats off when they try to feed me. They bought me a little brooklyn hat, but now that I've figured out how to take it off I'd like to see them try and keep it on... hahaha. Speaking of touching stuff, I love my daddy's beard.. it's so fuzzy it makes me giggle. Wanna see (too bad cuz here it is):

Word to my Mutha

I am now officially 7 months old, what an old lady I am. Uncle Ed got me some cool clothes from Maggie's Threads yesterday and a lovely sun hat to protect my extremely pale skin (curse you mommy!) I think mommy and I are gunna go to Maggie's for the sing-a-long tomorrow morning. I am super close to crawling, but for now the only move I have is the worm. I can do this way better than the guy in the picture I swear! Seriously, I know how to get around in reverse it's just the foward moving that I find challenging. Soon I will be breakdancing for street cred. Maybe I should freestyle at the sing-a-long tomorrow...

I'm a brooklynite baby -- This is my turf,
My style is sweeter than Mrs Butterworth.
Word to my mother....

here's a video of me trying to do the worm...

Getting Into The Swing of Things...

While mommy went upstate for aunt T's bridal shower, I got to hang out with daddy. Besides for getting a fever from teething we had great times. Daddy dressed me up in all pink and we went for a stroll. I got many compliments on my wardrobe, but I didn't even get to pick it out! In other news I cut my second tooth officially last week, but now it's really starting to come in. I'm onto stage 2 food now, exciting stuff I must say. I've got a new friend named Mr. Dog, he's a puppet who loves to lick my face (and I like to try to eat him!) Here is a picture so you know who I'm talking about...

My mommy hasn't been able to write on behalf of me lately because she's been busy signing up for school. I'm happy that she's going back and that she can take all her classes online so we can still hang out all the time. Mommy brought back some lovely gifts from her trip including an outfit from my GRRREAT aunt Sally and a phantom duck that sings whenever it feel like from aunt Therese. I don't know how long mom and pop are going to be able to put up with this phantom duck, but I love to watch it dance. She got me my first bathing suit too, but the weather is really crummy right now so I can't do backflips off the diving board just yet. To all of my Park Slope baby friends... I miss you guys and can't wait to see you soon, sorry we haven't chilled in a bit. Alright, I need to take a nap and dream about swinging...

6 Months Already??

Well... almost. I went for my six month checkup today though. I only cried a little when I got my shots. I'm such a big grrrl now: 16 lbs 4 ounces, 25 inches tall. WOW!! Daddy gave me some squash and peas yesterday and I loved it! (much better than green beans- yuck!) I love to eat from a spoon like a big kid. I can't wait to go upstate with ma and pop to visit my relatives and show them how entertaining I am. I got some new threads from http://peekabookids.com and they are comfy. Here I am in my bumbo seat and I am ready for some sunshine!!
